Here in my unusual post!
So i was in bed just now thinking about putting on some clothes in the washing machine and in the smae thought I was thinking about how as "we" get older we become more aware of the pointless money we spend on "things" [meaning me] ... just because of societal pressure and becuase of the fear of what others may think!
--> Ok, so we (my family) had to buy a new clothes washing machine a couple years ago and so we went into Sears and instantly I saw the red washing machine. It was a good brand with a good reputation and had a great approval rate. Well it was more money because of the colour. BUT it was so COOL!! ...
WELL as i was laying in bed just minutes ago with many thoughts/about what i need to be doing/ school/ washing clothes? ... I think about how we got duped by the colour "RED"!!
GAH!--> Duped again by the marketing ploys aimed at women! .. And well (i/we) fell for it!! Good one boys! good one~! wish I thought of that .. "Lets colour our washing machines and then women [because they are the ones running them ;)...] will be so in love with them they will pay more money for them .... MOO AHHH (insert evil voice here!)
Well i am returning to my bed that has carefully marketed sheets and pillows on it aimed just for us "women" ;) Have a good night ...

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to Sears and were looking at a new washer/dryer set to buy for our new home and just like you I was INSTANTLY drawn to the red ones! LOL! So embarrassing! I was like "OMG these are soooo cool, we need them!" and I'm not going to lie, he thought they were pretty rad too! After having discussions in class about how companies dupe us into paying more money for these ridiculous things I, like Freddie Mercury, now notice the hilarity of it all! My favourite is the commercial for the new 'Bounce Dryer Sheet' the one that clips into your washer and apparently keeps up to like 938758274108750875 bajillion loads of laundry smelling fresh! The lady on the commercial says something along the lines of ..."Now that I have the Clip In I save I have so much extra time!" Yaaaaaaa..... like it took you so much time to throw a dryer sheet in before! Funny funny!

The trick to watching television is muting the television while your show is on commercials, because sometimes we are just bombarded with bullshit, for lack of a better word. I mean honestly, that Bounce Dryer Sheet....c'mon now....so unnecessary and definitely a ploy to get us females to purchase it all--I usually refuse, I would rather spend money on clothes because I want to, not because anyone is subliminally pressuring me into it. Grrrrrrr!!!
